( partnership set up by the Cantabrian company <span style=\"color: #782327;\"><strong>Grupo Gof and the investment fund Ahorro Corporaci\u00f3n Financiera<\/strong><\/span>), it takes up a surface of <span style=\"color: #782327;\"><strong>35.000 square metres<\/strong><\/span> at the Port of Santander and has brought about a global investment of <span style=\"color: #782327;\"><strong>40.000.000 \u20ac.<\/strong><\/span> In 15 years, the intention is to channel an annual traffic of <span style=\"color: #782327;\"><strong>over 1.000.000 tons of agribulk commodities of vegetable origin<\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>Tasa is the result of a public contest launched by Santander Port Authority in 2005 which ended in an agreement of the Board of Directors of the Port that granted on 18<sup>th<\/sup> May 2007, the construction and running of a Portside Terminal of Solid Agribulk Commodities at Santander, in Raos, North breakwater.<\/p>\n<p>With this step ahead, the Port of Santander opted for an updating of the handling operation of agribulk commodities in terms of hygienic-sanitary conditions, ensuring compliance with European laws and respecting environment and air quality.<\/p>\n<p>We operate as a basic port service since June 2012.<\/p>\n<p>Our proposal of services at the Terminal is grounded on the following strengths:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>&#8211; We shorten distances and optimize operative costs<\/li>\n<li>&#8211; Food safety, we minimize sanitary risks<\/li>\n<li>&#8211; Batches\u2019 traceability<\/li>\n<li>&#8211; Highest environmental protection<\/li>\n<li>&#8211; High degree of automation of the commodities\u2019 unloading and delivering processes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The main technical characteristics are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>&#8211; <span style=\"color: #782327;\"><strong>281 m<\/strong><\/span> berth in Raos 4.<\/li>\n<li>&#8211; Draft: 13 metres for Panamax of up to <span style=\"color: #782327;\"><strong>70.000 ton<\/strong><\/span> deadweight.<\/li>\n<li>&#8211; Unloading equipment with a joint capacity over <span style=\"color: #782327;\"><strong>12.000 ton\/day<\/strong><\/span>.<\/li>\n<li>&#8211; Covered storage area of 102.600 ton.<\/li>\n<li>&#8211; Rail and road delivery .<\/li>\n<li>&#8211; Over <span style=\"color: #782327;\"><strong>10.500 ton\/day automatic delivery road<\/strong><\/span>.<\/li>\n<li>&#8211; Over <span style=\"color: #782327;\"><strong>5.000 ton\/day rail delivery<\/strong><\/span>.<\/li>\n<li>&#8211; Availability: 24 hours a day, 361 days.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>he Terminal is a portsite facility designed, constructed and run by the company TASA, S.A.
